What are the best brand names in food for cats?

I am currently feeding my two cats Friskies and Whiskas dry food and wet food dry. I was told that these are bad for the cat because of all the fillings ", what are the best brands of cat food wet and dry can be buy in a shop to buy at the store or a place like PetSmart? My mother feeds her 9Lives cat in the can, is that any better? I've noticed that most of my cans of Friskies Wheat has gluten in it that is what started the retreat so I stopped feeding them cans containing wheat gluten, but they need a good brand wet and dry food.
