Is there such thing as a food bank for pets?
Like many people these days I am just doing the accounts, and much less able to buy food for me. Now I worry about what I buy for myself and my pet? They are like my children and give them to a shelter is inconceivable to me. I know there are some food banks give food to the needy, but is there anywhere out there that helps to feed pets too?
Greetings to you to make sure you take care of your pets … my heart is gone to you – I can not imagine how painful it would be. There are organizations like this – I'm not sure where you, but here in Buffalo, New York Buffalo organization called CAN (Companion Animal Network). Originally helped the elderly with food pet, making sure to keep their pets. Now, with the economy as bad as it is, has been expanded to create a food bank for pets. Check in your area – The Humane Society or other shelter might be able to move in the right direction. Good luck to you and yours.
