I am what you Eat – A love letter from her cat

I need a balanced diet that includes proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and water. Protein supply important elements for energy, growth and body repair. Fat provides a highly digestible source, flavorful, concentrated energy and help build healthy skin and fur. I take large quantities of water (about one ounce per pound of my body weight per day) and I need free access to water clean and fresh all day.

Some general principles on how to feed properly me:

To provide a well balanced diet and avoid picky eating, you can give me to eat a variety of styles and flavors.

1. There are certain things I can not do and you have to do for me. Read labels cat food carefully. I do not want foods with additives or vegetable content high. I guess that means that broccoli is all yours … ENJOY!
2. Examine my food with care … I promise I will. Does the food look soft and digestible, skin, bones and flesh discolored? I do not like these and I would not ask to eat either.

If you will allow commercial food is the biggest part of my diet, then here is something you should know. Of the three types: dry, wet and semi-preserved (wet), I like them all!

Dry food (about 10% water) will help clean teeth and are profitable, but the lack of water necessary and the fat content to be a single source of food.

Semi moist foods (25% to 35% water) is kept fresh for longer than food dry, but costs more, does nothing to clean teeth and usually contains chemical additives to maintain moisture. Due to chemicals, only I want this occasionally and in small quantities.

Most canned foods (about 75% water) are stored either, it tastes good, and fits to my natural dietary needs, but costs more and may contain additives. Please give me a healthy diet through a combination of dried food and canned food thus get the nutritional benefits of each.

My food quantities will be determined by the size of me. I'm fit and not overweight and they need about 40 calories per pound of body weight every day. I also know that active, pregnant women, infants and neutered cats do not require more, while obese inactive and older cats may require less. About a half cup of dry food and 6 ounces of canned food for every 5 pounds of body weight in general, meet my daily needs. I really need to be fed at least twice a day or if you know you are not going to be here in time to feed me, then leave some food for me and I'll leave the light on for you.

You can supplement my commercial food cooked with liver disease (liver I LOVE!), Once or twice a week and small amounts of cheese, milk, fruit, fish and cooked vegetables. dry foods and canned foods low in fat (less than 5%) may need vegetable oil or fat added, but limit the addition of fat 1 teaspoon per day. Some adult cats enjoy (but not required) and catnip owners often find that a potted plant discourages catnip biting houseplants. A balanced diet usually provides all the vitamins and minerals needed in order to consult with my veterinarian before adding A supplement to my diet, please.

small kittens with special needs and require a high calorie diet rich in protein should be consumed in small, frequent meals. You can "free food" junior by leaving food out all day (I promise not to touch) or "hand to their children" him five to six smaller meals. Many owners find that "free-food" says the cat eats enough and avoids the boredom of food. Others find that "Manual Feed" to prevent obesity and lets you control the kitten is eating. As a mature junior, decrease your calorie intake and you can then put us in a similar feeding schedule.

You know I can be a bit finiky, but I can change drastically in what or when to eat, I can be hurt or sick. Please take good care of me.
