I've heard mixed reviews of cat food Holistic and Natural Diets for cats, are they good or not?

I read that the natural markings Cat food can be high in magnesium and kill cats, but I also read that cats who eat natural diets are at less risk of allergies, kidney problems, heart problems or cancer. Indigo Moon cat food Holistic sounds good, but I am not sure of its content of magnesium or if anyone has had serious problems when they feed their cats. Is that brand as good as you say? Let me share with you what I learned about feline nutrition to help you make an informed decision decision on what diet to feed your cat. Many brands of manufactured cat foods claiming to be "Healthy" really are not. In fact, are made from ingredients low as possible. I'm not saying that a cat can not live on them … just as you would live hot dogs and Mac and cheese forever, but a better selection can and should be made for your feline friends. I dare say that no food is manufactured "Best" for a cat but a grain free food organic wet would be a good start. Feeding canned is certainly better than feeding dry in all cases. Cats were never meant to eat dry food, also known as cereals or crackers. We, humans, who eat it for convenience for us. It has nothing to do with them or their nutritional needs. It's completely species inappropriate. All small domestic cats descended from desert cats. In the wild, desert cats derive their liquid intake from their prey whole. They have a thirst mechanism because they do not need to eat a diet of the species concerned. They get all they need from what they eat. Additionally water was usually not available to them in their desert climate. So do not drink water often. 'Ol regular house cats are descended from wild cats of the desert itself. So in a home environment, your kitty does not get the moisture it needs from dry food and is almost always in a constant state of dehydration. Water sources should try to get your cat to drink more and your kitty may even enjoy it, but never reach their consumption needs water to drink from a cup. feline diseases like diabetes, kidney failure, obesity, allergies, irritable bowel disease (IBD), calculations in the bladder, kidney stones, urinary tract blockages and Urinary Tract Infections (FLUTD), with and without deadly crystals run rampant these days. Bad Bad things and is in almost every cat treat on the market. : O (So, in summery of the ingredients … if you see the words by-products, Animal Digest, the word "meat" alone, corn, gluten, wheat gluten, or BHA or BHT … stop reading maize, since the product and move to the next. Note that by changing to a Holistic Health and organic foods, you'll pay for what you get. Good foods are not cheap. They are expensive and will cost more than cheaper products, like steak that costs more than hotdogs. But again, you are feeding a better food and better health on all of your pet.
