Good food for older cat and the kitten?

I have a new kitten that is four months old. I have it a few months ago when away from home, but recently moved back home with my mom. She has a cat of 15 years. I decided to buy good quality food for my kitty, kitty and bought formula being dry food, supplemented by twice daily moist. my mother cat has CRF and eats a mixture of dry and fancy Fiesta a special diet for CRF. However, both are lower quality food. The problem is my cat can not seem to get enough of the older Cats Food. Every time he has the opportunity, is devouring his food like crazy. And every time he does, he gets diarrhea or gas of inferior quality ingredients. I'm hoping to find a good food for CRF cats and kittens both equally. Any suggestions? I was thinking about just mixing regular Adult Wellness Formula and welfare of the kitten formula together. But is this the cat increased problems, or worse? Any information would be great. Thanks!
