What is the difference between cat food and treats for cats?
My cat is look like small pieces of cat food .. are only how fun. She could eat a lot of them like cat food. She loves them. But how do they differ from regular cat food, except for the fact that it is packaged in a smaller package? It's interesting how people seem to respond to this question are only for special occasions .. (I was trying to find this answer before looking at when it was published and people still said the same thing) I know that is just for special, just occasionally, just wanted to know why, what ingredients are different?
My husband took a package of candy, $ 3 per 3 oz so they are not cheap. It's "Salmon grilled flavor and the ingredients are: ground wheat, chicken meal, corn gluten meal, rice, chicken fat and flavor. There is not much here and it's nutrition mostly filler (wheat and maize) that the cat can not digest. Yes, the cat who loves them. I use Fancy Feast dry as a treat. It is better quality than the package of goodies and less expensive (under $ 3 for 1 pound). The cat loves. For regular cat food, feed my cat Innova Evo. It is rich in protein, low carbohydrate, and no grains cereal. There is a difference in nutritional value compared with sweets. A cat is like a dessert treat. It is well known and usually has many calories and not much value nutrition. The use of a treatment as a reward is fine, but be careful not too much, too often.
