How much should I feed my cat a day?

I have a 9 year old boy neutered male cat that weighs a whopping 20 pounds. He is quite broad, however, and although I think it's probably a little overweight, taking into account your body, I do not think it is obese. I mean, I saw some very fat cats with the bodies shaped like a basketball, but my cat is quite normal looking, he is just one of the big cats. However, the amount of food you give? I would like know with dried food and wet food, because sometimes feed him wet food.

Your cat is not necessarily fat, depending on length. By what you say, sounds like a big cat, so of course it will weigh more than average. Is it more active or passive? For a cat that is not very active, I recommend to feed a small can of wet (or 1 / 2 of a larger can) once a day and about 1 / 2 cup of dry cat food once a day. If asset that can give it a larger can of wet food and 1 / 2 to 3 / 4 cup of dry food.
